Software consulting and technology advice from $400 MXN per hour.

Software consulting to help you decide before you spend. We review the quote another vendor gave you, help you choose between Odoo, Bind ERP, CONTPAQi or a custom system, rescue abandoned projects and websites, and review your company’s security and cloud spending. You pay by the hour and get written recommendations, whether or not you build with us.

The problem

When it pays to get advice before you decide

If any of these sound familiar, it’s worth a conversation. The consultation is free.

  1. 01

You have a quote and don’t know if it’s fair

The price, scope or timeline doesn’t add up, and you have nobody to ask.

  2. 02

    Odoo, Bind, CONTPAQi or custom

Every salesperson says theirs is exactly what you need.

  3. 03

A project was left half done

The vendor stopped answering, and you don’t know what you have or what’s missing.

  4. 04

Nobody wants to touch your WordPress

Outdated plugins, lost logins and the fear that any change will break it.

  5. 05

Your cloud bill grows every month

Servers, subscriptions and licenses nobody knows are being used.

  6. 06

You want to build but don’t know where to start

Before paying for development, you need your process on paper.

What’s included

What we can advise you on

You work directly with both founders: Jonathan Perez leads design, product and sales, and Jair Chavez leads infrastructure, cloud and security. When we finish, you get a document with what we found and what we recommend doing, in order.

  • A second opinion on a quote

We review the scope, price, timeline, payment terms and what’s missing from another vendor’s proposal.

  • Choosing the right system

We compare Odoo, Bind ERP, CONTPAQi or a custom system against your process, your users and the three-year cost.

  • Project and website rescue

We review what the previous vendor left, recover whatever logins we can and tell you whether to continue, migrate or start over.

  • A map of your processes

We put on paper how your team works today, where time gets lost and what’s worth building first.

  • Security review

Accounts, access, backups and settings, with a list of what to fix first.

  • Cloud spending review

Servers, subscriptions and licenses: what’s used, what’s extra and how to pay less without putting your operation at risk.

Frequently asked questions

What business owners ask us before getting started.

It starts with the free consultation: you tell us what you want to solve, and we tell you whether paid advice makes sense. If it does, before we start you get in writing what we’ll review, how many hours we estimate and what it costs. We work by video call, or in person if you’re in Irapuato, León, Celaya, Salamanca, Silao, Guanajuato, Querétaro or Aguascalientes, using the documents, systems and access you share with us. At the end, you get a document with what we found, the options we see, what each one costs and what we’d do first. Then you decide: do it yourself, with your current vendor, with someone else or with us.

Consulting and technology advice start at $400 MXN per hour. The number of hours depends on what needs reviewing: a quote a few pages long is not the same as an abandoned system with several connected services. You get the exact price in writing after the free consultation, before we start. If the review concludes that something needs to be built, development is quoted separately: a module or automation from about $5,000 MXN, a larger project from about $15,000 MXN and a complete system from about $25,000 MXN, paid in stages.

Yes. We check whether the scope is clear and broken into stages, what’s included and what isn’t, whether the dates and payment terms are realistic, where the system will run and what it costs to maintain each month, whether your data will be yours to export, what support you get after delivery and how changes are billed. We tell you whether the price is reasonable for what it includes and which questions to ask the vendor before you sign. If the proposal is good, we tell you that too. As a starting point, our blog has a guide called “Before you hire a custom software company: 10 questions to ask.”

It depends on your process, how many people will use it and the time frame you compare. Odoo charges per user per month and has a free plan for a single app. Bind ERP is contracted on annual or quarterly plans, and each plan caps users, monthly sales and products: Profesional includes 4 users and up to 124 sales a month. CONTPAQi sells separate programs, such as accounting, payroll, electronic invoicing and Comercial Premium for inventory, purchasing, sales and invoicing, on annual licenses whose price depends on the version, cloud or desktop, and the number of users or RFCs (Mexican tax IDs). We compare each option against how you work and what it would cost over three years. Sometimes the answer is to combine them: an off-the-shelf system for accounting and invoicing, and a custom module for what makes you different. Our blog has two guides on this: “Odoo or custom software?” and “Off-the-shelf ERP or custom software.”

Yes. First we take stock of what’s there: where it’s hosted, who has the logins for the hosting, domain, database and connected services, and what shape everything is in. Then we recommend in writing whether to continue, migrate or start over, with the approximate cost of each path. At SpacePort MX, the original developer disappeared, and the site loaded slowly, threw errors and went down. We moved it to modern hosting without a redesign, recovered the logins and handed them to the client, and trained their team to edit it on their own. If an account can’t be recovered, a new one is created in your business’s name.

Yes, and it’s one of the most useful things you can do before paying for development. We talk with the people who do the work, follow an order or a job from start to finish and write down each step: who does it, with what tool, what data it uses and where it gets stuck. You get a map of your process, a list of problems ranked by what they cost you and the scope of a first stage that you can get quoted by anyone. Sometimes what needs building isn’t what it seemed: at GoatTool, a standalone desktop app didn’t solve the real problem, because accounts, licenses, updates, system requirements and devices all had to be coordinated.

For security, we check who has access to what, whether important accounts ask for a second step besides the password, whether accounts of people who have left are still active, whether backups can actually be restored and whether your email, domain and social media are under your company’s control. For the cloud, we list the servers, subscriptions and licenses you pay for, how much each one is used and what’s duplicated or unnecessary. Executive Engineers replaced several WhatsApp groups, OneDrive, iCloud and scattered notes with a single platform, cutting subscription costs and admin work by 80%. If you need a full security audit, we offer a cybersecurity service, with the scope and your authorization in writing.

No. The recommendations are yours, and you can use them with anyone. If you decide to build with us, you get a written proposal with the price of each stage and its dates. We solve urgent issues within hours, and most projects are ready in about a week; large systems are delivered in stages, each with its date in writing. We fix any defect you report within 60 calendar days of each delivery at no cost, you can end the project whenever you want, paying only for the work done, and your data is always yours to export.
